Just read about advice being given to check your holiday accommodation for surveillance cameras.  Apparently this is becoming somewhat of a problem in holiday accommodation.   If you travel with your own bed etc this is not an issue.  LOL

Hi MSG,

No cameras where we choose to camp. We love the bush camping section of caravanning.

But, yes in the society that we live in today, one has to be very aware of the security aspect.

We reside in a security estate and the resident's committee ensures our security as we have 6 full-time security guards who patrol our estate. A security hut at the entrance to check all entry and exits.

 Caravan parks and resort venues seem to have an increase in petty crime.

But this should never deter one from enjoying caravanning/camping.

I always set up a couple of motion sensing cameras when I camp overnight. Not a camping situation but I have just provided bank details to Qld SPER so they can deposit compensation to be paid by a trespasser who did some damage to my property and was subsequently convicted on the photo evidence I provided to Police.
