Seeking info. for my new Isuzu MY21 Dual Cab Ute.

Yesterday I placed a post in "TECHIES CORNER" re the fitting of 3 items to my new D max. I would appreciate any D max owners or other mechanical minded persons  going to my post and offer any information. Cheers. RAINBIRD ROVERS

Hi Jim....whilst I do not own a DMax,I believe that they're a great vehicle.Blank the EGR.Put in a primary fuel filter....but not the stupid 30 micron example.I run 10 micron,or sometimes 5 micron as the primary filter. No experience with transmission coolers,as I am a user of manual transmission. On your initial post in "Techies",the Isuzu springs were discussed.Since I note that you you live in Nambour,I strongly suggest that you contact Carroll Springs in Wacol.Contact is/was Doug Butler, and these guys know their stuff.Service was quick and efficient, with prices being around half those quoted by another popular supplier, who,I believe, relies solely on being well known.Good luck.Cheers

I strongly suggest to fit the catch can and 10 or below micron filter the auto cooler no real need unless towing big weights and lots of hilly terrains best to drive i 4th gear manually if towing over 2 ton and they are basically the same motor as the last model which came out in 2017 I think they changed the bore and stroke to get an extra 20 nm to compete with the others

cheers

cheers

As I mentioned in the Techies Corner RAINBIRD, look up the ozisuzu Forum (sorry I got it around the wrong way in the Techies area.
Thanks Hendo for the correct site.
One chap who posts there works for Isuzu & is worth listening to. You can find him by looking up info on your new D-Max.

Do not block off the EGR as Yobarr suggested - it will make your car unroadworthy! And if you think it's worthwhile, you'll have to restore it on every service! Fit a catch can.

You did not say what the weight was of anything you're going to tow - my car with the three leaf spring sets towed our 2T van with no problems. And the ride without the extra load was good (more so than it is now with the HD springs).
