Hi Everyone, I have been looking for a motorhome for some time now, looking at buying secondhand and was wondering if any one can give me any feedback on a 2018 Jayco Conquest 25ft Fiat with a slide out Queen bed, are there any things I need to look out for? All advice or experiences would be much appreciated. Thanks Moz.
We currently have a 2018 Jayco Conquest 25.3 on a Fiat Ducato base and we find it to be excellent. The Fiat base has a wide rear axle for stability and we have never needed to use the stabilisers to keep it steady when stationary in windy conditions when set up in caravan parks. The the Auto/Manual transmission is a pleasure to drive once you get familiar with it, also as it is a manual gearbox that has the computer control the clutch and gear changes it is fairly economical on fuel. For us front wheel drive is not an issue as we don't go off the 'black top'.
There is plenty of information on YouTube.
Happy travels.
Ran into a woman last year at Mildura. Jayco, very similar to what your looking at. She bought it new. TBO it was a lemon. Many issues, even a hole in the floor near the battery box. When it rained the house battery box was filled with water. It was a sad story and every time she had a warranty issue they insisted she drive it back to Melbourne. Even when a dealer was only a few km away. I felt very sorry for her as she had sold her house to buy the RV.
I would go over it with a fine tooth comb. Perhaps get a pro in the check everything.

I sure hope you didn't cause too much damage when you ran into her, OB

If you have been looking for some time now, you must be happy with the layout of this Conquest( spoke to a member at a CMCA Rally who was on his 3rd Mh in 3 years or so, finally found one his wife was happy with the layout).
Have never owned/driven an RV with a slide out as we go off the Tar, not sure about any problems with the slide out(or Mh structure) if you go off the Tar for any distance.

Suggest you also check the fiat ducato spare wheel winch lift, sometimes these can have problems and also ask has the front suspension been upgraded as sometimes driving on rough roads the front bottoms out. To me neither are major issues.
