Clive Palmer is still in the Federal Court trying to get WA's border reopened.
The majority of West Australians want it to stay closed at the moment until things settle down over east.
I wish someone would drop Clive in a very deep bucket with the rest of the cane toads, the selfish mongrel. Got knocked back from swanning in here so has his bottom lip out like a petulant child.
Breaking the rules for Corona-Virus should be like a game of Monopoly - GO TO JAIL, DO NOT PASS "GO", DO NOT COLLECT $200 BUT be prepared to COUGH UP HEAPS!
Hey Greg! We DON"T want CLIVE! Some silly idiots voted for him last time - probably out of frustration with the other mobs!
You can have him - he & his ratbag relatives have hides thicker than a herd of elephants! However, I don't think it will be long before he is behind bars!

As my home base is in WA, then I probably have no right, to comment on the QLD border
But...
Being a small man with a big mouth
My opinion is, that if the border closure, will assist in the eradication of Coronavirus, or keep the QLD people safe, then I am all for it
Your Premier should be able to have a straight run, as I am sure I had read somewhere
Two high court cases seeking to overturn the Queensland border closure, had been dropped

Tony Bev,
unfortunately Anna and Qld in general have been under pressure since this pandemic started.
I am not generally a supporter of Annas following but I certainly admire her for her initial stance. Unfortunately she has had to bow to the tourism industry representatives and this coupled with pressure from other independents has caused her to weaken her stance. Now it is beginning to bight her.
Hats off to the states and to their officials who have successfully locked their borders and have this pandemic controlled so that their residents can exist as at least a micro economy based around each states population.
Opening any border is a big risk and I feel the Qld public will be paying the price. Many people arent honest and trust has gone by the wayside. We all locked down here only to be let down by yet another group of selfish individuals.
Kaid,
I really feel for you and your neighbours, you do not deserve to be let down from these selfish and dishonest people.
Well based on that channel 7 report you could be fogiven for assuming they were Victorians. This time the culprits were Queenslanders who'd been visiting Melbourne then trying to sneak back under the radar flying to Brisbane via Sydney.

I too am only a couple of suburbs away from these foolish young people.
The Sunnybank shopping centre that they are said to have visited is only 2 or 3 km from my home & I have been there briefly in the last week or two so I think that we will just bunker down for a bit as things develop. We have got a freezer full of food, a garden full of veges & a bar full of booze. What else could I want? Just wish that we hadn't gone down to a Surf Club at The Goldie today.
They have just done terrible harm to their lives but unfortunately have put many many more at critical risk. Even if we are fortunate enough to come thru this phase without too much damage, how are they going to live with themselves for the rest of their lives. As I get older I occasionally reflect on some of the things that I have done that I am not proud of (funny that, only the bad not the good . a touch of depression perhaps), but my crosses don't even come close to what these people will have to bear. Assuming that they themselves survive Covid., the Psychological pressure will surely be enormous.

Those two are obviously not Australian, deport them.

if they went to jail it would be at our expense put them in ISOLATION at their expense and take their phones/ lap tops off of them by the time they got out the media would have moved on, an they won't be celebrities' anymore their 5 minutes of fame will have faded!
I too am only a couple of suburbs away from these foolish young people.
Not so young - I heard on ABC radio news they are both 28.
Well it appears that they have lied about a lot of other things so their age may be questioned.
When Rob saw the pics on the news this morning his comments were extremely derogatory, he referred to ladyboys or maybe just ladies of the night.
Haha maybe they are and they are out of work so to speak. I had a think about what he said and I questioned him as to how he knew about such things.
As a woman I find it hard to believe that girls of their stated age have obviously been injected with Botox or similar. Maybe I am just too old to understand.
I hope their penalty is the maximum that may be applied.
I understand that these 2 people were Qlders who flew to Brisbane from Melbourne via Sydney. They avoided the checks and isolation in Sydney because they were in transit and did not leave the airport, they avoided the 14 day isolation in Brisbane because they made a false declaration. Should'nt Qlders be putting pressure on their government to tighten up their screening procedure and increase the penalties for making a false declaration. I believe someone who knowingly makes a false declaration that results in transmission of the virus should face prison time as the outcome could be death and/or have a huge cost to the economy. I just read a report from channel 7 news saying that these 2 went to Melbourne intending on committing thefts from high end fashion stores which the police are now also investigating.
I think you are being pretty generous Cupie calling these 2 'foolish young people' IMHO those who make false declarations and put others lives at risk are criminals and deserve to be treated that way.

From what i get from reports, they won,t care. They knew melbourne was a hot spot before they went and they still went. I think we r all f@@ked. too many people think only about l am the most important and only my needs matter. I say shut all borders completely. No planes, no one coming in except freight For a designated time And get this under control. Sick of hearing about those other halfwits wanting 15 minutes of fame too. if they could not record there carry on, i bet they would not bother doing it. Could go on, but i best stop n have a cuppa n a biscuit. Cheerio.

$4000 fine? They should get jail time and charged with murder if someone they passed it on to dies. If not, deport them anyway. There a far too many like them. Shows lack of respect for the country who took them in.

Totally agree
Yep, perhaps you're right. Just didn't want to pile on like the pack.
But, after SWMBO told me a bit about them & their antics, perhaps I was being a bit too kind.

Should be straight into a cell. Reckless behaviour endangering lives. The fact that one refuses to assist Police with the shops/places where she has been since flying back goes to show how low these scumbags are with their complete disregard for anyone but themselves. Totally that far up themselves they can pat their heads through their mouths.

are they australian or here on some visa
Don't care.
if they are citizens pretty hard to deport them if on a visa cancel visa
Cupie I see where you are coming from and my comment wasn't meant to be critical of your post. Regardless of what I personally think about these 2 - I actually meant anyone who knowingly makes a false declaration that puts people's lives and businesses at risk should be treated as criminals. Like you I'm not into public floggings but on the other hand I'm even more against those who are constantly seen in the media trying to justify bad behaviour or even criminal activity.

I hope this link has the interview, if not go your hardest at the Current Affair site. The feed above runs for six and a half minutes.
It may be in their FB page but many on here disregard Facebook.

Thanks for that link Angie, it was an interesting listen, no disrespect to anyone, but if "Bro" on the telephone catches it, then it could not have happened to a finer man
