We went there many years ago and it was a great place.
More recently we found it the most "clicky", unfriendly, crowded, generator ridden place on earth.
We will NEVER go back.
Cheers,
Peter

It was very packed this time last year.

It was  Chockka Block at the main camping areas and gennies very evident.

But we found a spot at the Cootenbrand Creek and stayed  two nights .  Nice and Quiet there and  protected from the wind.

We had 3 nights at Sandy Beach last year, just steady flow of vans coming and going, room for about 8 vans/motorhomes, nice and relaxed, some great sundowners with fellow travellers at the Gazebo.

At the Cape / Boat ramp camp sites, full on set ups like they were there for 2 months, 20 m x 3 wire clothes lines, vans and annexes squeezed in everywhere.

Cheers Bob

Hi Syd and Trish.

We were there last year 8th/9th August. Busy but everyone was well spread out. There was 50 - 100 plus mtrs between camps. IMO heaps of room.

Cape Keraudren was my wife and I's  first date, April 1983, lunch on the tailgate of my WB Holden ute. Living in Port Hedland.

I catered; picnic lunch, wine, soft drink and a few beers. When we arrived I asked her if she would like a drink; she chose a beer. I was impressed. She's only had a hand full since; married now for 37 years.

We will be at CK again this august 4th/6th August; and will be on the beach again, still holding hands and maybe a skinny dip.

I will be the one with the beer.

Check out my avatar and come over for happy hour if you are there.

Regards.

Hetho.

Cleaverville is ok if you can get a spot to yourself on the sand dunes before the main camp., turn off is 20 k north of Karratha.

Cheers Bob

We stayed at Cleaverville one night at the west end & drove to the other end to pay. A long walk between toilets if staying in various locations, but not bad place.
