Travelling Complaints

I have been travelling around all my life and over the last 8yrs almost full time.  So I think I have pretty good experience as to what is out there.  Like a lot of people who don't like things like (in no particular order)

(1) rubbish left around,

(2) generator noise.

(3) dogs barking

(4) Human poop

(5) Dog poop

(6) Dogs Barking

(7) Too many people

and I could go on and on.

People complain and are only too happy to dob in anyone committing these sins.

For me the cardinal sins include, leaving rubbish behind, Human poop and anything else disgusting.

However, we have to remember, this is nature.  Cow poop, Horse sh..t and all other animal **** is acceptable.  Is it too hard to watch where you put your feet?  Its not your living room floor.  um... perhaps immediately around your campsite is.  Likewise animal noises.  (not those animal noises made by humans) are all part of the outdoor noise.  I'd much rather hear a rooster crow at dawn than a truck's breaks squealing.

Anyway I could go on.   I will say, that though, people complain all the time about these issues I am lucky enough to have only rarely come across them.  They are not that prevalent.

Just go out and enjoy yourself and accept all those unfamiliar sights, sounds and smells as being part of nature. and most importantly Leave only footprints.

The Last few decades our block of units has had Red, Yellow, Blue & Green bins clearly labelled & residents still put the wrong waste in the wrong bins regularly. I can only come to one conclusion is that people could not give a stuff with their waste.

Maybe it's time to suggest take a teaspoon of cement and harden up, or build a bridge and get get over it. Life is for living warts and all. Sorry the tired old CMCA chestnut of leave no trace only foot prints is a bloody is BS.

Yes,it's quite simple, really! As an aside,if Bruce's (BGT) comment about 'Grumpy Old Men' was made in reference to the OP,it perhaps needs to be noted that the profile shows 'F', not that that seems to mean much these days.Perhaps Graeme's suggestion regarding cement could he acted on,although I see little reason to leave rubbish, human poop or dog poop lying around. And twice listing "Dogs barking" is of interest. Is 'dogs barking' (small d) different from 'Dogs barking' (Big D)......or does this refer to the size of the dog? Cheers

Lots of harsh comments here. I say that because we all are different and if one is sensitive to noise or annoyed easily it is often a state of mind that cant easily be remedied- eg harden up. Some people are lucky enough to take things in their stride, others need help in life to cope with the slobs, the bludgers and the I dont give a damn brigade. There is even a twentieth century disease some people have- the evolution of man over thousands of years, suddenly within a handful of generations we have to adapt to abnormal conditions and some people simply cant cope. To understand such weakness of mind you have to have empathy. Few do. I In my twenties on several occasions I left society to never return, so I know the feeling of the darker side of human behaviour in general society and Pentridge Jail where I worked at the time. That was 45 years ago. Yep...still trying to harden up!!! Easy to say.

I don't know why people can't read and comprehend the written word.

If....you read it carefully It was about all the complaints constantly being made about travelling and other travellers.

All I can't stand is people leaving their rubbish and sh....it behind.

Dogs barking, roosters crowing and animal sh..it etc are all part of being outside their houses and they should accept it and not winge about it .

sorry I was a bit exasperated, just read a post elsewhere saying people shouldn't bring their dogs, not only that, it was supported with about 20 comments agreeing with that sentiment. Of course the comments weren't nice.

What are we coming to. Can't say anything unless someone jumps on you. Including on this forum.
