Caravan parks during lockdown

Just watched the owner of Cable Beach Caravan Park complaining about the WA borders being closed and how parks will not survive without NSW and VIC tourists. His park was 90% empty but there had been no attempt to tidy the park, dirt piled against gutters, power boxes leaning from vertical, trees not trimmed and you can bet tap washers not replaced. Will he now raise the tariff to recover financially ? We were there last year (not going back) the rates then were very high, I know they only have a 3 month season to gouge the easterners but really $65 a night for a small patch of grass and about $3 worth of electricity. We have finished with WA now and will travel through outback VIC, NSW & QLD more welcoming and cheaper.

One of the reasons i do not want to go to wa. East coast is best for us. Still got water falls, mountains, oceans, beaches.

You have stayed at one of the most expensive CPs in WA, Broome is totally over rated IMO and a lot of others agree. Best thing going for it is the weather at this time of year.

By the way Macca, when did you come across the border? and how are going to get back? do you have to quarantine anywhere?

Cheers bob

Yeah. I live in a park in WA (own the van and solid annexes, bought onsite, have to get them shifted, my car hasn't got the grunt). The rates down here are comparable to the East. Tourist traps are always more expensive, and often poorly maintained.

I just want the borders open so I can go see Mum (lung cancer).

You don't know what you're missing Doug...........we are not that bad over here.

Actually, change of mind, keep the borders shut to keep you Mexicans out disbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief

My days of the 'wild west' are over Bob. I'm just an old retired Indian Chief nowadays.

OMG, this has now inspired me to write to Mark McGowan and ask to keep the boarders closed until the wet season.

Then we can enjoy Broome and surrounds this year, without this type of Mexican in town.

Regards.

Hetho.
