Those GNs who worry that they are a bit over weight in the van and are considering a bigger tug might like to consider this old girl for towing their big van Just a big twin cab really !

Thanks Jaahn....that works.Big bit of gear, and looks like 8 wheel drive? I'm not up with flags either, and don't have time to look.Where is it from? Cheers
Back in the dark ages of 2016 in down town Townsville. you know, the days when there were no border closures and all that stuff, I saw an add for a Ute so went to check it out and this is what I saw. I can't remember exactly but it was but it was a Ford F series Ute or truck as it would be called in the USofA.
About three weeks later I saw it going around Kirwan, a suburb of Townsville. The aluminium teepee would have looked good behind it.
It was a LOT bigger than what it looks in the pic too and I tell you that for free.

Hi yobarr
It is a Berliet now part of Renault, so French. They built a series of big trucks for use in the Saraha for oil work back in the 50s and 60s and beyond. This one is for tank transport and the picture is probably taken in a middle east country judging by the minorette behind. Somebody may recognise the flags. Good load on that truck
Hi Jaahn, It would be good to arrive at a free camp in that monster, point the all big bangers at the generators making a racket and see the response. Could be good for a laugh.
Come to think of it, it could be a good solution too.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Thanks Jaahn, for that detailed response. With all the mergers that are happening, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of who makes what. I believe that Mack also is part of Renault......What's the world coming to? Cheers

I reckon I saw that truck in Townsville too, Doug. I'd love to see it in the Vincent Shopping Centre car park!!
While I'd like a RAM 2500 dual cab - it won't fit in the garage, nor will a 1500 either, so I'm stuck with a D-Max (a poor second/third cousin).
Jaahn,
Your one is just a little too large! It reminds me of our last trip to the Kimberly & heading towards home down the Stuart Highway. There was a large carrier in front of us - on the back was an Abrams tank - with its gun facing the back. I was assured that the driver of the tank was asleep in the back of the truck. We followed it until Daly Waters where we headed east along the Carpentaria Highway.
