How hard is it to get an opinion. I did not ask you to look at Kea - the van is for sale at RV sales Adelaide - the link would not work - go look!
I thought I might get some experienced ideas. perhaps your judging others by your own ethics.

The link worked ok for me. The vehicle looks clean, but I would be concerned about the high kms - 318k. That would signal for me the need for a very thorough independent mechanical check. It is also 8 years old and one could probably expect door seals, etc. to be rather worn. If it all looks good to a professional eye, put aside a few $$$$ for possible overhaul/repairs and go for it if it is really what you want. The other point is that dealers are not known for benevolence, so thoroughly check out the price of equivalent vehicles and possible repairs before committing.
Hi Michael,
If it was a diesel, I'd say perhaps but a petrol engine with those kms is not good. And it's been sitting around for quite some time, too. Look elsewhere.
Have a look at sites such as Carsales.com.au, visit caravan yards to see what is on offer as far as prices go.
With any vehicle get someone qualified to check it out - the RAA should be able to help.

As a complete newb here; can I ask why this comment about KEA branded motorhomes? are they 'over the top'\expensive or something for someone looking at their motorhome?
I've just come across this brand in my very early research eadings and am honestly curious.
I too am from S.A. and was looking for similar vans but was put off by the high kms being that petrol engines have shorter life span, plus the fact that petrol vans I think do less kms to the litre. The only ones I could find with lower kms were out of my price range. So I ended up buying a diesel xtrail and sleeping in the back. It's not as comfortable mod cons wise as a van but on the positive I don't have to take the kitchen sink to the Drs. I did however have to pick it up from NSW luckily just before the pandemic hit.
Keep looking, hopefully you will find what's right for you in time
Kea are part of the THL group who own Britz rentals worldwide.
Their off fleet units are refurbished and come with a warranty and the dealer who is selling this unit is a Kea certified dealer.
$20k for the unit advertised sounds reasonable
....you don't buy much for that sort of money in the current market.
2017 model Hiace Kea vans with around 200k are selling for $55k.
