Usual disclaimer, I have no association, with anyone selling anything, except from being a customer, who walks in from the street
I would like to recommend JayCar, an Australian wide retailer of electric stuff, (for me, always 12 volt direct current electrical stuff, for my vehicles)
Three times in the last week or so, I have been to their Bunbury WA store
Each time I have printed out, what items I required, (from their website), and handed the lists , over to one of their shop assistants
Each time I received a cheery welcome, and a thank you for shopping here, as I was leaving the store
The method behind my madness, is that I would like to avoid a prolonged stay, inside any shop, while ever there is a chance of catching/spreading the Coronavirus
I point out to others on this forum, that as an older bloke, I am more than likely to pick an item up, to read (is that what I really wanted), and then sometimes replacing it back on the shelf
I will assume that there are other oldies, like me, who do the same
You will get a slightly different experience if you use the Mandurah store. Some days they have the A team on and the experience is as you have described, but if they have the B team on they look at you like you have 2 heads. Its been like this for a few years here.
Its usually the weekends that sometimes make me think that I should go online; which I don't, I just wait for a week day.
I like your idea to print out from the catalogue - but for vastly different reasons.

I slowly realise as I get older that I am definitely NOT the fastest rat in the race.
Also the older I get the more I realise I do not know.
