C,mon Victoria ... Get with the times and let your people start to rejoice and enjoy what we in Queensland and other States will experience from today.
Mind you..... If the new rules are not obeyed by many I D I O T S then we will be back to ISOLATION.
""Do the right thing "" has been a motto for decades and is never more important than ever before in our lifestyle from today.
Happy Days

After almost five weeks of tough lockdown measures, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk ( Also Known as Pluck a Chook ) announced some stay-at-home restrictions would be lifted.
From Saturday, Queenslanders will be able to leave their homes for recreation and the distance they can travel has been extended to 50 kilometres.
victoria with its restrictions lasting a bit longer may find themselves in a better place ,if it turns out the rest started easing restrictions to quickly( like to many at once instead of one little step at a time)
I hope all of the "Banana-benders" on this forum enjoy their freedom without breaking the rules!
So where can I go, besides around town? Cungulla, Giru - both south, Rollingstone - north (might just get to the Frosty Mango for an ice cream), Calcium - west.
It's a good thing there are some nice bird watching locations before we get to these towns!
I have to go to Bunnings after lunch - all previous (enjoyable?) outings have been health & food related.
Sorry Mike, these "benefits" are for locals only & as far as I know the only Qld visitors to NSW are for work only.
And our Premier? She has plenty of names here in NQ including Puddleduck

If you don't get it done today, there's always tomorrow!

Warren, you don't have to go that far for a nice ice cream mate. My favourite when in downtown Townsville is 'Juliette's' on the Strand. Niiiice. Have one for me if you go there.
Mind you, 'Frosty Mango' runs a close second.
Keep Safe out there.

Keep in mind a recent poll had the QLD premier as the least popular and a state election coming up. So ask yourselves why the restriction are being lifted. After all it wasn't long ago she was acting tough. And when she confronts the teacher union she will have more credit. Same in Vic. Ask yourselves which flea is wagging the dogs tail.
Nearest major centre (Bendigo) is more than 50Km away (just), but for groceries, supplies and medical it offers what is needed, unlike our local community (nearest - 6Km)
What I am completely over is the leisure travel aspect.
I like to get out on my motorcycle roughly fortnightly and do a stooge around the countryside, lunch in a pub I have never been to before and return home, generally 400 - 500Km in the day.
Being at home working in the garden, the shed and around our property (6ac) in central Vic, quite frankly has its limitations, even with the "essential travel".
However, I am so glad that we no longer live in the northern suburbs of Melb on our little 1/8acre (guess) block.
