Kimberley Kampers/ Times are a changing

Hi everyone,

Tied of just sitting on the Couch, decided to jump on the lap top and go back five years to when we sold our beloved camper trailer, to buy our home on wheels.

Five years back, on Van /Campers sales we sold our KK.smile After 13years of faithful service.

Back then there were four pages of adds = 48 various models up for sale. It took five long weeks to get a nibble after dropping the the price on ours.

Today there were 10 pages = 120 units up for sale. We were Gobsmacked at how many were on the market.

We new that the original owner of the company went belly up, dispite export sales into USA some years back.

We had thirteen years of fun in ours.

How the times are a changing no.

And I fear there may be more change to come! The industry has been grossly overserviced for many years.

My Albany Camper (original camper trailers) purchased in 1980 is still going strong, albiet moving down the generations. It has done Gibb River road and the Kalgoolie to Alice Springs track and much much more. Still original canvas but did replace the cover once, couple of sets of tyres and a repaint of stonechipped front. Lots of fond memories. The next generation down are now waiting for our Winnebago Explorer motor home. Neil
