Have been waiting a long time for Aldi to have them again. I have been using plain coach screws with success for the past five years or so. In fact, I do not even carry a hammer these days. In the event of a flat battery in the drill I have a 1/2-inch square drive ratchet handle. It would be slower than a drill but would get the screws out.

The first issue came with the adaptor to fit the drill. I have them but don't use them, I think they are excess baggage, all these devices depend on the type of terrain, and I find the standard peg, with another crossed over it does all the required jobs, except sand. Sorry about that all, but I am on the road full time, and so far have not had success with them.

Aus-Kiwi,

I have found them very useful for awning tie downs, sat finder dish, hoist style clothes line as well as anchoring the fridge shade and privacy screens. So easy with the drill set up. Aren't we spoiled for choices these days. All that along with my BOS jack, just loving it :)
