Edit....A couple of hours later I was sitting looking at that pic on my laptop and all of a sudden thought to myself, how can the sun rise over the west coast like that? Silly me hey! So, I asked my mate Google about Onslow sunrises and, now I know.
This forum can be edumacational sometimes.

We with four neighbours stood in our driveways on our section of our crescent stood from 0530 to just after 6am remembering the sacrifices made to make our country as great as it is.
As there are two lots of army people further around the loop, I assume they were out too.
A pity that others couldn't be bothered to get out of bed early to remember & give thanks, especially in a Garrison City. There are 43 houses in our loop.
I'd like to see this practice continue next year for those who cannot attend a normal Dawn Service at ANZAC Park.

If you don't get it done today, there's always tomorrow!
Beautiful pic and fantastic puzzle as well.
To go with that, the simple ceremony we experienced was very thought provoking.
A friend being a member of a local Pipe Band. Australia wide all were encouraged to do a ceremony at their gate etc. and so he did with Amazing Grace", followed by the Ode, then 1 mins silence and Reveille to finish. He had a little trouble with his ambiteur (Spelling? oh drat - getting his lips into cornet made from pipe mode) and so had some trouble with the Reveille, but it was still lovely.
Another of our friends also stood to witness this as well as several other residents of the sets of flats in the residence set up.

Also the older I get the more I realise I do not know.
