We have crossed the NT border in at least 16 different places. That would not be more than half of the options.
I wonder if the police will be manning them all 24/7?
In any case, if we wished to go to the NT, we could happily self quarantine for 2 weeks, in the bush, in the OKA to comply with the requirement.
The tourist haunts will be empty, so it would be a great opportunity.

Quite a few routes into NT are closed due to funding atm. That will change of course but it's not difficult to imagine routes will be policed or patrolled. Legit transport isn't going to be stopped do the roads themselves won't be signed as closed. What range does the OKA have PeteandMargaret ?

We have just bought our first van and were planning to go on our regular three month trip to the Gulf. My question is would it still be ok to cross the boarder from QLD to NT and then place ourselves in fourteen days quarantine. If the answer is yes would we need to quarantine near the boarder.

We will probably not go this year as we would hate to make ourselves part of the problem for remote communities but if we could still go legally and safely I would be up for it. Where we go is about 4 hours driving to the nearest town of Borroloola and is not in an area that requires a permit such as indigenous communities.

Probably going to reluctantly stay home.
