re your comments on bird photos not being up to speed, my thoughts are that its a memory of a moment in time that you will recall. Its not for some scientific journal for id
I like them

Cuppa, extremely interesting reading about your stay at Portland Roads during the wet. We visited and stayed at Chilli Beach during the dry back in 2017, and enjoyed our selves immensely. Was able to write for a magazine about our time there and the rest of the cape. At Chilli Beach were involved in the annual clean up the beach with locals and rangers. That was interesting seeing where most of the rubbish came from. Oh, and had the best cheesecake at Portland Roads.

Found the history of Portland Roads and Lockhardt River (Iron Range) all extremely fascinating. If it were not for the fact that we needed more sunshine, we would have stayed there weeks more. (So envious that you managed to pick up a house sit)

These sort of blogs show that being a grey nomad is not just about driving to a destination, ticking off the bucket list, and moving on to the next. Thanks for the ride Cuppa

Thanks for your comments folks, always good to know someone reads my ramblings. :)
Dunmowin, the place(s) we were house sitting were the place you had your cheesecake, 'Out of the Blue cafe' & 'Portland House' next door. Both owned by the same couple - Greg & Sheree. We had hoped to be going back up there for several months in our car but the virus has put paid to that.
