By the way, there is a great shot of the Sea Cliff Bridge just north of Wollongong. It is a very busy bridge so I don't know how they got the shot without any other traffic.
The bridge isn't as long as it appears, there is a pedestrian pathway along it. I have walked over the bridge several times - the view over the side and the sea is amazing.
Murray, from a little bit of experience many moons ago and in a previous life, you will find a permit would have been obtained to close the road so they could film that scene. Once 'that's a wrap' was called the road was open again. More then likely 30 mins closed. As you say, it's not a long road. I have walked it too.
I remember having a major highway closed so a truck could get filmed loading a grader for a Local Government Add. I was a transport manager and applied to the then Vic Roads to have the highway closed for 30 mins. I got a pat on the back in the Council Chambers a month later after the add was on the televis. Only one I actually got. Not many pats on the back in Local Gov.
