Oyster v

Has anyone purchased the new Oyster V sat tv system? Any feedback or is it too early?

At around $5000 I'll stick with my chart, compass and protractor to find the satellite.   confuse

We have the Sphere unit so no feedback from us on the Oyster V

Here is a link to the product.

They are more expensive than the competitors products.
The boast to be German made could be good, but subjective.
The unit apparently comes with the parts which will let you receive Foxtel as well as Vast FTA.

I would do some more research as to its advantages before paying more than double for the unit when compared to others.

I have had myOyster fot 15 years with no problems. The advantage of the Oyster for me was the fact they have bronze gears not plastic. There is a lot more choice now and plastics have got better. Most of the time there is a reason why some things are cheaper than others.
