When we boarded they asked for all curtains to be open so they could check inside the van during the trip, something to consider.

I would do it myself, in my van if I could as well, tinted windows, and you cant see in at night.

I think that you will find that after you have left your vehicle they chock the vehicles too stop them from moving at sea. If your dogs bark as they come by they will give you away. If not then it might be less stressful for them as long as they have water

I don't understand why you would want to do this. My 2 Labs are very happy being left in the vehicle overnight on the boat and I am equally happy to go upstairs, have a meal, watch tele and grab a few hours of sleep in the recliners. The dogs are in the vehicle where they normally ride and are not stressed in any way shape or form. I toilet them before boarding, give them a drink but do not feed them that day. Next morning we get off the boat and immediately give them a run and breakfast. Everbody happy- me, the dogs' and the boat staff.

Because a new dog I have adopted who is a 16 year old jack russell cross gets very stressed when left alone, he has not coped well poor boy since he came into my care after his elderly owner passed away, thats why I thought staying in the van with him would be so much kinder for him and me as I would be worried the whole night.

Weve got a couple of toy poodles, they looove travelling, also the best guard dogs on the planet, a noise/smell etc nearby to us, sets them off. Nothing can get close...yap yap yap. Once we smuggled them into a hotel for the night ( our darlings ) ...never again, middle of the night all hell broke loose, something fired them up. Tazy crossing definitely leave them in the winny, turn on music to muffle outside noises. Theyre happy as.

OK that's great for your 2 labs, BUT how do you ensure your pet fish is catered for? DO you put a collar on it swim it along side?

You can leave your pets in your vehicle as long as you sign an indemnity form

Hi Mobi Condo, How big is your fish. Putting it over the back of the boat and giving it a swim is not a bad idea. Attach it with a 4/0 hook and you might end up with an even bigger fish to take to Tasmania.
