Set off on our big lap (or 2) from Canberra this morning. Travelling down the Hume on our way to Wagga we saw the most wonderful sight. The Hay Run convoy was travelling north. I estimated there had to be about 80 semis all up. I know there were a lot from WA but I think there were also a lot of semis from Vic. Awesome sight with some really nice words from people on CBs. Made me really proud to be an Aussie, especially this weekend.
A few months ago I helped a drive disconnect the front trailer from the rear trailer, it had got stuck & was refusing to separate. He was out of spare wheels due to punctures & had to go into Cobar to get the spares repaired. Then he would be on his way north, 900 km trip with hay.

Flags2 there is a total of just over 170 trucks. They left Walbundrie showground this morning at 6am and stopping in Singleton tonight (Friday ) and will arrive in Armidale around lunchtime on sat 25th. NSW Services are asking all vehicles to be patient when coming upon these trucks so they can go straight through without any holdups. We missed them as we went to Albury today and they had already gone past where we join the Hume highway. Certainly makes you proud to be an Aussie
