Soft start

Hi all, I have been trying to locate an outlet or dealer that sells soft start units to install in my Ibis air con so that I can run it using my Ryobi 2.2 generator. Can anyone help me and also give me some instal directions please.

Hi Len .....Dometic can supply a "Smart start" unit, and if you are in Brisbane,as your profile suggests, there is a Dometic dealer in Brendale that I have dealt with, who is very good with anything to do with AC units. I can get his details for you if you wish.Cheers

Thanks Yobarr, that would great if you could give me the details. I am finding so many people want me to buy a new air con ( Ibis 4 ) and pretend they know nothing about the little soft start unit.

I bought a soft start for my Ibis a few years ago but the Honda 2 would still not run it. Got a new 2.2 for $1695.00 and we now have no problem. Before you outlay the hard earned, I suggest that you check if it will make a difference with the Ryobi. May be OK?????
