Lloyd,

VAST isn't the satellite dish, it is the service that you access using your dish.

It may help if you can have a look and advise what dish you do have, so those with Auto Satellite dishes can advise. A couple of Auto systems are Sphere, and Satking, but I am not certain of any others

We have a manual portable dish for our service, so I cannot comment further.

How long ago was it working. If I recall correctly you have to renew every six months or if you change States.

A lot of people use Satplus and this is a link to their Satellite dishes roof mounted.

Sorry, the Automatic satellite dish is a Vansat which we brought from Aardvark Electronic in Mackay the dish keeps going around & around and we know that you  have to renew every  6 months. We have had the dish for 8 years and it has not worked most of the time.

With a previous dish that we had it used go round and round and wouldn't lock on , it was a loose connection up at the dish. Also make sure the copper wire in the coax cable is long enough to make contact.

If you are looking for another dish then Google Outback TV , dish has 4 lnb's and is the cheapest on the market. Been everywhere with us and hasn't missed a beat. Tell them I sent you and you might get a further discount.
Cheers
Mick

I have a Vansat and have had it for 5 years, it is faultless...there is nothing wrong with your dish if it searching for the sattelite, it is a bad connection or wiring somewhere along the line.

Contact the owner of Aardvark, he is a very good and helpfull bloke, he solved a problem with my reception once over the phone with step by step directions.
