DERBY PICNIC RACES on SEPT 14th
It's racing but not as you know it! The annual Kimberley Picnic Races are for station horses and stock men and women only.
It's a major fundraiser for the Kimberley School of the Air, based in Derby. This year is the event's 20th anniversay.
When the picnic races began in 1999 they were held in Halls Creek, before moving to Derby a decade ago.
Six horse races, tug of war and foot races will be held at the Derby Turf Club September 14 and gates open 11.30am.
