Coleman camp chair

We went looking for new chairs looking for lighter ,more padding and ease of using and after countless bcf ,annacondas, camping shops finally came across the coleman with extra padding and even comes with a bag wow.The first happy hour was all good but next morning while putting my shoes on the stitching ripped and nearly fell off chair.I then turned chair over to see the tear and noticed the other side stitching was starting to unstitch as well so I looked at the othesr chaisr and had the same problem they are going back today and I would advise anyone with this brand of chair to have a look at the underside for bad stitching

Good post as poor quality needs to be aired.
I'm a heavy man. Several months ago we bought two gravity chairs from the green shed. $54 ea. Best chair ever purchased.

Tony, are these the ones. They look good,do they fold up and down easily.

The ones we have are a real pain to open up,thinking of changing them.chair.jpg

$54 ... Bloody hell ... what a bargain.

I have a shed full of chairs (well not quite full, but a fair few of them) that didn't make the grade as well as one, my ex-favourite that wore out after a decade or so. SWMBO got it at Derby of all places, but I claimed it. They don't import that style anymore unfortunately.

My current fav is one that I paid $150 for & it was marked down from well over $200. It's a beaudy - sturdy, a bit bulky, but not too heavy.

I might have a look at the Big Green Shed $54 one for SWMBO.

Yes mate, they are the ones. Actually they had them on special a few months back for $49.

They are easy to open up, have zigzag stretchy rope sides and they balance backwards so easily to give you a great lie down. (hence gravity chair). The leg section folds down easy to allow you to stand up without great effort.

Only one minor issue is that the legs have black plastic bits. The moulds fit into holes but I found they can come off so glued them all with 11rc I had left over from my caravan build. They don't have small tables attached but my wife has ordered some from ebay.

we've been through several BCF etc. type chairs too. All very ordinary quality.

Go to an Opposite Lock store. Their chairs are beauties.

The best chairs we have come across in 8 years on the road.
