A Melbourne site to live in my van for three months sought

I guess this is the forum in which to post and I don't think I'm breaking any rules...?

Almost one year past I sold my home and have been living in my caravan, travelling Victoria and southern NSW, I had no intention to work again and have sufficient funds that I do not need to, however... I was recently offered a three month consulting job in (almost) central Melbourne which is just too good to turn down. Consequently I am looking for a location to place my, almost new, caravan for that time and live in it - commuting into the city daily by public transport or car.

As you may imagine it's not easy to find such a site so if anyone knows of same or is prepared to rent a private site to me (decent cash money) I am interested. I require the obvious things:

Water
Power
Facility to empty a toilet tank
Reasonable peace and quiet

There's just me; no pets, no wife and the children are well grown and gone (I'm 65-ish), I'm quiet and content with my own company.

Any ideas people?

PM me if you wish.

It's not so much the distance but more the availability of public transport, probably trains.

I may drive but we all know how cumbersome that can be.

try the Bunyip Rec reserve - right opposite the railway station or just a short drive to Pakenham that has trains to the city every 20 mins

Lots of good suggestions before me, however; I joined the CMCA last year on our 12 month journey and they have a MSO section which I have used many times.

Worth a look.

Regards.

Hetho.

there is a nice small caravan park at Ballan adjoining the park beside the river. Should be quiet and price shouldnt be bad. Also good Vline train service into City.

Mike, the Wanding caravan park is only 1.5km from the railway station, trains to Melbourne. Kilmore the same.

Sorry, my memory must be playing tricks on me.

More like a 50 minute walk

There's a large CP on the Frankston-Dandenong Rd near Carrum Downs.
It's got a lot of permanents & probably a few ferals, but it would be OK for 3 months.
Train from Frankston or Dandenong.

Thanks everyone for some excellent suggestions. I have found a place which is pretty good but would still like to hear from anyone who can offer a private arrangement.
