Insurance for 5th wheelers

In a few weeks we will be going on the road with our 5th wheeler. Question.... Advice on which is the best company to insure our 29ft 5th wheeler. We have our tow vehicle an Iveco Daily insured with Alliance but they don't insure 5th wheelers. All information will be very much appreciated. Thanks The Blackies.

G'day Paul,

Contact Ken Tame insurance. He does Motorhomes etc so see no reason why he wouldn't cover 5th's. Google Ken Tame.

'He' Ken Tame is fully owned by Allianz and has been for a couple of years, as I could not find Alliance Vehicle insurance I suspect It's one and the same. Also try CIL and your motorist bodies.

Hi smile

I would not assume anything regarding Ken Tame insurance. They are brokers who have negotiated a deal with the CMCA to find and provide good insurance for their members. I use it and lots others do. If I looked direct for insurance from the company they deal with I would not get the same deal. Go to Ken's web site and then ring them and ask. I find them very helpful and easy to talk to. In Australia and speak Australian too.

Insurance companies have always dealt with brokers who do the up front work for a commission and the insurance company carries the risk as normal. Very normal in business insurance using specialist brokers.aww There are only a couple of insurance companies in Australia and they trade under lots of names.

They used to be brokers, but since the sale are now a fully owned subsidiary of Allianz.

They have an arrangement with CMCA who get a commission from each policy.

Cheers,

Peter
