This is somewhere in Australia.

Does anyone know where this scene is in Australia.

I am guessing that it is in the N.T. of our great land.

It appears in the poem... My Country. I just love the poem by Dorothea McKellar. The original title was "Core of my heart"

It sure is spectacular.

It could be where the gorges meet from the Fern pool and the Fortescue Falls (Dale Gorge) and the gorge from the Circular Pool.

This is photo from the Circular Pool side, hope this is helpful. cheers reg

Or could it be Apsley Gorge up near Walcha NSW in the New England area not that far from Gunnedah where Dorothea spent a lot of time.

Just my thoughts.

Yep, definitely Karajini National Park, WA. Here's my picture from the same point, not quite as creative of course, but you can tell it's the same cliff!

I haven't got that exact picture but here are some diagrams of the area. If I had to choose one place in WA, Karajini NP would be at the top of the list, but avoid school holidays at all costs. Also go around to Hamersley Gorge, the rock colours are amazing (last 2 images).

Well it looks like Knox Gorge get the gong.

Thanks for your input folks.

Much appreciated.

The "" Core of my heart"" is certainly on display in our great Country.

That is why  we love to get away from the maddening crowd and enjoy our bush camping.

Weano Gorge is my favourite place to visit. We camped there in 84', and swam down in the gorge pools, also climbed all the way thru and rapelled down the falls. Bloody good time. It was all known as Hammersley Range National Park back then.

JayDee you're gonna kick yourself when you see this, but the photo you posted actually already contains it's location in it's file name!
