Sometimes with mine, I need to stand on the A frame, bounce up and down a couple of times, it just gets cold or something.

Can not help except to say we looked at a  trailer mate, but in the end we spent a few more $$$ and settled for a Bos.

Great,  it has a drill attachment and there is no need for me to use any energy.

I like that.

Hope you can fix the problem

Agree JayDee, I used a Trailermate for quite some years and recently discovered the BOS jack. Couldn't be happier. Would also add the BOS people were great to deal with ie. very helpfull and professional.

You have bent the shaft.

Easy done particular if you are unhitching on unlevel surface or the van is not straight to the tow vehicle.

If it kicks off the tow ball this will cause the issue.

We have replaced the shaft 3 times on our trailer mate at cost of $55- being $25- for the shaft and $30- postage.

Now using an extra tall jockey wheel.

Cheers

When I bought my trailermate, I actually needed a jack for the van. So I rang the company in SA, and spoke to one of the owners. I told him I did not want an Hydraulic, jack but was interested in one of their earlier ones, that were wind ups. he had two left plus spare parts for $185.00 delivered, so bought that one. It is an excellent jockey wheel and great jack for flat tyres. Have not needed any of the spare parts in 4 years of use. Best value ever.

I have a standard jockey stand, I see fellows messing about for ages with these Trailermates, and I wonder why. Our ball weight is high, and there is no problem.

I too just use a slightly longer jockey stand. I only use it to put van on and take off ball. Ones off and level I put an axle stand under Aframe to take weight. The jockey stand is also used if van stays connected to Collie over night (no axle stand).

Yes Dougwe, chief of the Itchybum tribe! I do the same, found quite a bit of van movement came from the jockey wheel stand, the axle stand stops a lot of movement, plus takes the load off the jockey wheel stand. Regards Ian, we may be coming over east, will watch for smoke signals.
