Vintage car (?) , home made caravan

Looks vintage, in fact its a JBA Falcon tourer 2+2 kitcar built 2001 by a good builder in Perth. Second owner in Townsville now with us in Euroa Victoria.

Has v6 commodore engine 5 speed. Strengthened rear chassis

Caravan built 2019 16ft with full ensuite. Tare 730kg. ATM 998kg, Steel tube frame, 4" drop axle, lightweight materials. Concept was to add a few vintage bits like spats, pointy tail lights and portholes but aerodynamics at the front are modern for efficiency.

Well done. It just goes to show how much weight you can save by putting in some planning & effort, which equals satisfaction! Spending money in the right places for the longer economic  plan.

This quite frankly shows up the pathetic effort manufacturers put into their caravans.

The JBA would go pretty well with the V6 in it. I drove one but that was only powered by a Ford Pinto motor and still didn't go too badly. Not sure if anyone is still doing the kits over here for them now. Haven't heard or seen anything about them for a while.
