Trailblazer suspension upgrades...what have you done?

New Trailblazer owner.  I notice that rear springs are quite soft and any weight on back means I whack my head on the tailgate when it's up (normally just miss).

So what mods have you made (if any) and how successful have they been?

Thanks in advance.

G'day Moose,
Have you checked with the dealer? Will any mods affect your warranty? Did you buy the car with or without a towing pack? I know there were changes made recently in Qld that affect vehicle modifications.

Other members will ask if you have a WDH fitted - check with your manual to see if you're allowed to fit one. Some manufacturers ban their use. I fitted airbags to my Patrol but do not pump them up to the pressures the manufacturer recommends! I do want a suspension, not a log spring & not a broken car.

Thanks Warren

Has Holden fitted towing pack.

I'm in NSW.

No WDH - only a small van so I don't see a need for that  and would prefer to avoid if at all possible.

Used to have airbags in the previous vehicle and just put 20psi in when towing otherwise ran them below 10.

Do you have a suspension specialist nearby - eg Pedders, Fulcrum Suspension.

If not, find the closest & give them a call & see what they suggest. Make certain you tell them the car is new.

The cheapest method - a sign on your tailgate "Duck"!
Being tall & my head not covered in hair these days, takes a beating.

I assume there would be a Trailblazer Forum, do they offer any solutions?
