The Longest Line

This event starts 23rd to 27th May

Participants in these events will gather together in outback Queensland, camping in showgrounds at Barcaldine, Aramac, Jericho and Muttaburra, with the main event centred in Barcaldine.

In the afternoon of 25th May 2019, vehicles taking part will move out to the Aramac-Barcaldine Road and line up in preparation for the attempts.  All vehicles taking part in the LONGEST CONNECTED IMAGE MADE OF LED ROPE LIGHTS will be at the front of the line.  The attempt will be measured in the evening of 25th May 2019 in accordance with the Guinness World

One might have to rethink travel plans so not to get caught up in the madding crowd :)

Not even pending surgery will keep me (us) from being there.... (hopefully).
In Roma tomorrow for a day or two, and slowly making our way up to Barcaldine, booked into the showgrounds from the 23rd.
We're doing both the LED & longest line attempts should be fun.

Steve.

I'm booked in for it too. 2 nights at Barcaldine Showgrounds and the longest line.
Looking forward to it, hopefully no hiccups, I am having a bcc cut off my nose by a plastic surgeon on 21st.
Hope I can get my glasses on and still drive.
See you there!!

Feel sorry for for people that earn a living driving in the area. One huge traffic jam.

You've got to be joking.
The isolated town of Barcaldine is revelling in this huge crowd come for that weekend.
They are putting on all sorts of activities to cater for the masses.
This little town which is one of my favourites, will make a fortune out of this group.
It should also be a lot of fun.
