Would be interested to try free camping in or around barrington tops , has anyone been to this area, looks so nice and not as crowded as blue mts. and not far from sydney.
Sorry you are in wa section but there is heaps of camps in that area ,take the BT turnoff and head up the top of mountain dirt road big camp up there but national park fees apply .T he thunderbolts way has a place called bretti that is free

There is 3 nice spots with drop toilets at the base of Barrington Tops. Can't remember the names off the top of my head but you go in through Dungog and easch is a nice spot on creeks. Rod.
