Heading up to Jemalong Weir for a few days. Has anybody stayed there?

What are the facilities?

Cheers

we stayed there 2 or 3 yrs ago in a camper trailer. It was cold and wet at the time, but a great free camp, very quiet and only one other camper there at the time. Below I have quoted a recentish comment on the site from wikicamps - and I must say I concur.

'Great free camp. Clean flushing toilets, green grass, fire pits, bins, tables, and chairs. Free BBQ available, was a little dirty. Non potable water available. Telstra reception.Definitely recommend. Drive through gates to stay near amenities or take right hand dirt road before the gate for self contained sites. Bridge limit 10t'

 Hi Wandererone.

Like Juss it was about 3 years ago we had a couple excellent nights camp there, peaceful, had good weather and very relaxing. The water we found was ok for washind up and showering.

Great spot.

So spent 3 nights with the SIL and niece.
Peaceful spot with only a few campers over the weekend.
Bit disappointed the river was not really accessible but worth the visit anyway.
Only bugger was with the dogs with the clover burrs in their hair. Small dogs, close to the ground with longish coats = pain in the a.. Make sure you have scissors and are prepared to give a bit of a haircut. Often.
Otherwise a lovely place.
