Truma combi gas electricity water heater

Wondering if anyone has had hot showers with these units lasting longer than 2 minutes. Most often they are around 90 seconds. Darn annoying . I am at the point of replacing the unit . If I do ,does anyone have a recommendation?

If on 240v and attached to town water showers of reasonable length no problem - on gas and caravan tank supply we tend to only wet down turn off, lather turn on, turnoff etc. Certainly a lot better than a bucket and wash-cloth.

Something is wrong with your system as we get 2 good showers and it still doesnt run cold on gas or electric

There is also no problem with running the gas and the 240V at the same time.

I agree, we have a 14 litre gas/electric Truma, ample hot water, showers for two not a problem, perhaps a thermostat issue.

I assume you have gas or power to the unit turned on whilst showering.smile

Thanks for the help! My unit has a 10 litre tank . Perhaps that is the problem. Does anyone know if I can install a bigger tank for my Truma system?

I would very much doubt it, was not aware they made a 10 litre model are you sure of this, what is the model number?
I still think it should do two showers if gas/electricity is running whilst you are using water, remembering that you are not using all hot water, its being tempered with cold.

how old is the unit?

As a matter of interest have you seen this video.

Santa! Thanks for the info. The video was helpful.
I checked the manual . The unit is a Truma Combi 2E and it states its capacity as 10 L

Interesting, looks to be quite a new model, just reading through the fact sheet (link below) I still think it should be able to do what you require of it, reckon I would be getting it checked out by someone who knows the particular unit.smile
