BEST 4B

Hello,

My hubby and I own a 2004 nissan patrol and a lowline coromal 18ft van, we are thinking of upgrading the patrol to a newer 4B next year to either a

HILUX, RANGER OR DMAX..

We are looking for the pros and cons, towing fuel economy etc, this would be the best place to gain first hand good unbiased advice.

Thanks so much..biggrinsmile

Hi you may be better placing this in general section.

"Show us your rig" is more for people who have made the mistakes and can not go back.

Isuzu seem to be the flavour of the Month, great write ups- although I won't be changing from my Patrol.

Extremely happy with our 2016 D-Max so far. 5 speed Auto. Bought second hand with 22,000km on it.

Great value for money!

Hi,

I have had two Dmax utes 2009(traded when the new shape came in) and now 2012 both manuals and both from new.

No problems with either so far.

Isuzu have a good name for reliability but will not win the most Gizmo's race or be the absolute fastest or even the most modern ute(can be considered a little truck like)... but given what I read, face book groups and my own experiences etc I think they have a proven track record now with very little problems.

However nothing is perfect and no doubt an occasional glitch will occur.

Cheers AL

don't discount a Volkswagen amarok, they are currently doing a 2018 plate clearance and a v6 is great fun to drive. the best part about the v6 is that it is made in Germany, good European build.
