A friend in Qld has a Tyre and 4x4 store and usually stocks mainly the century range of batteries.

He reckons

(i) They are supposed to have four or five times the lifespan of a lead acid battery.

(ii) More recharge cycles than AGM

(iii) Cheaper

(iiii) A good quality charger is all that you need if used away from your vehicle charging.

I have a pair of 900AH Optima as my 24 Volt cranking batteries.

I'll certainly be looking at these when I need to replace them.

Cannot find anything on Crystal Lithium but lots on Lead Crystal or Crystal Gel.

My thought is
wait for technology to get more wide spread ... and its problems , to be revealed.
early adoption is always expensive

I think you may be mixing two types of batteries, lead crystal and lithium. Can you please supply more information? Web links to actual items would be appreciated.
