Waeco chest fridge at Aldi

Just a heads up for tomorrow 24th November

Aldi have a Waeco chest fridge on special

The picture below tells the story

Specs are $599, 50 litre gross, 47 litres net, (whatever that means)

Someone put up the heads up last year, when I purchased my Stirling fridge from Aldi, with the same compressor, otherwise I would have missed it

Edit to say
In case some people are unaware
My research told me that Secop, brought out Danfoss, which use to be the mainstay compressor for Waeco and Engel fridges

The CF has been replaced with the CFX, but at $599 it's a good price.

Dometic Waeco CF50 Pack including cover $599 https://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/power-cooling/fridges/dometic-waeco-cf50-pack-including-cover/BP90046430

Secop still make the Danfoss compressors used in many good quality 12V fridges, but NOT Engel who make their own, different, design.

Cheers,

Peter

I think the CFX is a different and upmarket range from the CF and the both co-exist.

This time last year the CF50 was $999 RRP and the cheapest I could find one was $699. I wrote it down in my Waeco / Dometic catalogue at Xmas time last year.

The Engel motor is unique to Engel. It's a Sawafuji. The one in the Waeco is used in lots of fridges and is the Secop/Danfoss.

I have 2 x Waeco Cf 50's in the back of my Triton Dual Cab rear canopy.......one used as a fridge and the other a freezer...the later CF50's automatically switch from 12 V to 240V when I

connect to 240V in CV park to save my batterys...my 110AH Thumper Extreme and 36 AH Waeco Coolpower battery are inter-connected, and fully charge whilst driving...ideal set up for travelling

and stops in the donga for about 4 days off grid..total 146AH capacity....I have solar panels and generator connections to charge battery's if extended stay.....good value at $599 and reasonably light-weight......and they have

digital degree display...easy set up and maintenance free and all separate from vehicle battery....Hoo Roo

Went into an Aldi at about 9:15 this morning, not for the Waeco, which was just as well as they had none left. I think they had about 12.
