I am in the early what do we need stages of converting from a soft wall camper to a custom built, hard walled, camper (caravan). Age is catching up with us, as much as we love the camper trailer.
One of the items under consideration is an Evercool Elite 208 ltr, fridge/freezer draw, in lue of the more normal 2 door fridge/freezer type as is normally supplied. 12v only.
I have been unable to find and comments in the EverKool unit.
Has anybody have any comment on this fridge good, bad or hearsay?
Hi mate
I have converted a bus to motor home & have a 210 litres upright fridge freezer as well as a 60 lt car Fridge both run on 12 volt only and I could not fault either they are evakool
Cheers Stumpy
I have the smaller single door, 107 litres (I think), Evakool 12 volt only fridge
It was the only fridge that size, which had a Tropical Fridge T+ rating
I purchased that size, to go into the cavity, where the three way fridge had been
I normally travel the Nullarbor, west to east between the Christmas and New Year period.
It is usually warm at that time, and the Evakool has not let me down
Hi we have just picked up our new an with one of these in the van so probably a bit early to say yet but the big thing we have noticed so far is how quiet it is compared to our previous compressor fridge. We went for the upside down fridge with the freezer on the bottom. The main reason we did this was because it has two condensers so only the compartment that needs to be cooled down is cooled down ie if the fridge needs cooling that condenser only comes on so not having to cool down the freezer as well if it is not required. At this we are are happy with it but certainly have not tested it in the heat yet. Good luck with your decision.
