Stayed here a few weeks ago. The camp area is a short drive in from the highway along the road to Meandarra if I remember correctly. Big area, flat, flushing toilets, showers too but the water colouring was off putting in this regards, sensor light at night, picnic tables, BBQ and water in the logoon during this dry time. Would like to see it again when the water lillies are in bloom. (the road from the highway follows the lagoon and you can see the water lilly plants). Would stay here again.
A second photo of part of the lagoon itself. These posts were supposed to go in the free/budget camps site but ended up here instead, so obviously I did something wrong but it was a good place to stay and more people might see it here anyway. Cheers.

A lovely spot to stay. We did 2 nights in September. If travelling to Meandarra make some time to visit The Anzac Museum. It is a credit to such a small town.
Cheers, David.
I have added it to my 'must visit' list. A bit of nostalgia for me.
I remember that area very well, having spent many holidays on a friend's property just a bit further down the road. Before we had our first old cars, we used to hitch hike out there & look after his property while the family went off to Sandgate for a couple of weeks holiday. He usually had a race horse or two, run up from the back paddock, for us to 'ride the grass off' before they went back into training. One was aptly named 'Condamine Lass'.
Gee hasn't the place changed since we were there in the late 1950's and early 1960's. I can recall having to ride a horse into Condamine for supplies (beer, bread & mail - didn't really need to do it but it was great fun) after being rained in for a fair while. Lots of dirt roads those days. I seem to remember swimming the horse across a stream just back up the road towards Condamine close to the junction of The Gums turn off. Probably a bridge there now.
Used to catch a few fish in the river using frogs as bait on bell lines.
