short term storage for the van while on the road

Hi all !!

On our next trip, we plan to do 4wd excursions without the van.  We will need to leave the caravan somewhere- sometimes just overnight, sometimes for a few nights.  Do most caravan parks offer cheaper storage sites?  Any ideas or tips would help; maybe you even know how much we need to expect to pay per night of short-term storage.  Thanks!!

Steve.

If only for a day or two expect to pay normal fee, I assume you will still want to have power running to your van.

We don't need power while away and while it probably is the easiest to just pay the normal fee if it's only one night, we try to avoid paying full price if gone for a week.  I'm specifically thinking about the Gibb River Road, where we will be away from the van for a week or longer.

Thanks for the reply!

When we did the Gibb, we left the van quite a few times, some parks had a storage area and only charged minimal fee . In Broome we stored it at a crash repairers who had a locked up area and had about 10 vans when we parked ours. Is easy to organise.

Hi...new on here but looking forward to getting valuable info as a grey nomad! We are also wondering about safety of caravan while away for a couple of days looking after grandkids on a property that is not accessible for our tow vehicle or caravan. We are looking at Bathurst or Lithgow CP but not sure how secure it would be if we are not there for a few nights. Not from people staying in the park so much but from outside I guess. Reading stories on some of the FB groups that there has been an increase in vans/vehicles being damaged and broken into. We would not leave anything in the awning area to at least avoid that temptations. Thanks for any assistance
