Reasonably priced weekend camping at the MotoGP.

Im off to the MotoGP on Phillip Island next weekend. Camping trackside. With a pensioner discount, it cost $70 for 4 nights. Thats $17.50 per night for an unpowered site.

Toilets, hot showers and a band in a marquee on Fri, Sat & Sun nights. Food vans & grog. No BYO but slabs of beer & pre-mixed cans and ice on the campground side of the bar and individual cans in the food & music area. The prices of everything are reasonable. Much cheaper than the footy. Camp fires are allowed and woed is available. I could watch the racing just from the campground, but for an extra $100 I can go trackside for 3 days and enjoy the racing close-up.

Ive paid $27 per night for an unpowered campsite with nothing much.

Just hope the weather holds out. Phillip Island weather is a tad fickle.

I could even take my van and stay in the Highside Campground for $50 for the 4 nights but all the action is trackside.

Its good being Sponsored by Centrelink.
