Anybody travelled fro Capertee to Glen Davis campground? What is the road like for a Motorhome and is it worth the trip in.

We have not been into Glen Davis as yet but is on my to do list and will be going into Glen Davis we will be towing our 6 metre full height road going caravan.
I went to Wiki Camps to check and had a look, the photos there show a varity of camping styles from small cars to very large caravans. A couple of comments subjest the road not great, in general these people would expect a freeway road system to there camp site.
Take your time, drive to the condition and enjoy the experience.
Our dairy is pretty full till about August between Europe for couple of months then NSw south Coast, along the Murry, over to York Peninsula, if the lady is to be believed she saids Alice,so may be not.
That road has been a gravel surface and in good condition when I have traveled it. However, gravel roads do change a little, especially after busy holiday periods.

The creek crossing is to cross to the other side of the Glen Davis township for camping, with all this rain, or even impending rain, if you are there, could leave you being stuck there. The road in is very narrow, last time I was there. It runs along side of cliffs, most of the way in, so unless they have widen it, then I presume it is still the same. At the time, I was fearful of meeting cars coming out, and I had a camping trailer, we were lucky in that we met no one. I would use google earth to show you the actual road situation, other wise, ring the Glen Davis store ? ex pub, for info.
