advise / help with installing solar panels / batwing awning and diy pvc pipe shower to metal pop up canopy

Good evening and thanks for adding me to the group.

I am currently in the process of finalising my popup canopy. I am getting the canvas installed next week. See photo attached

I need advice/assistance/things to consider with installing the 3 following things;

1. a solar panel on the roof of the canopy. I have marine grade sikaflex, brackets, a cordless drill and the panel ready to go. I dont have any experience with metal work so dont really know where to start. I am having a redarc battery charger installed next week so the auto elect should be able to help me connect it all up. I dont even know what to use to run the wiring along the inside of the roof down to the battery.

2. I have a Darche 270 awning to attach to the passengers side. Does anyone have any experience with installing these or similar awnings? Or attaching something similar weighing 30kgs to the side of a metal canopy. I have the brackets and installation kit in a box in storage however havent opened it. I have heard the terminology 'uni strut' been mentioned from the metal manufacturer who build my canopy, however I dont know when they are required or anything about them. Can anyone assist me with this installation or point me in the right direction of someone who can help? Im in the Brisbane area

3. On the other side to the awning, I want to bolt on brackets which will hold a 20kg pvc pipe. Im assuming this process is similar to the awning. I have purchased some brackets I believe will work.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the gang Purple76, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Take advice from the auto elec regarding the Panels. I will see if anyone else comes up with help though.

Keep safe on the roads and out there.

 PM sent....if you dont know how to PM,just look at top of this page and youll see User details. Click that and another page will appear.Look down the bottom right side of that page for message and new messages.Go from there! I am not at all computer literate,and this may well be the incorrect way to access your PMs,but works for me! Cheers.

Oops!Make that bottom left side! Sorry

Gee Purple76,
You'll certainly be popular where ever you go - you have a fantastic chariot! It almost reminds me of a former mate's setup on a Toyota LC ute. He worked for the DPI (in the early 70s B4 Tracy).
