I assume from your 2 posts so far you are looking for some guidance into what vans may be suitable for rougher road travel, and that you are looking at something like the Franklin Arrow.
As it is a wide ranging question it might help if you let people know an idea of your budget, what you need in a van, where you intend to go, and what level of "semi off" road you are looking for. I am afraid I find the term semi off road to be used to describe a great variety of vans, many of which owe their "semi off road" status to a trim of chequer plate, and nothing more.
I assume you mean a van suitable for use on dirt roads, rather than driving around in the middle of the bush.
Once you give some direction, I am certain people can give you some guidance.

Welcome to the gang sandybob, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Because a caravan and tug etc are such a personal choice thing I keep out of it sorry. I will say though, make sure when your are looking around etc your tug can handle what you choose and the CV does not excede its listed ATM. Infact make sure all weights are within their max's. VERY IMPORTANT!

Whatever brand you decide on utilise the checklist provided by Caravan Council of Australia www.caravancouncil.com.au/compliance
Be aware that there seem to be a lot of rogues selling not fit for purpose caravans. When you have finally settled on what you want ensure you get the van checked out by a competent Caravan Inspector contact Colin at Caravan Council for a list of competent engineers.

a very warm welcome to you both. Have to agree with dougwe and possum3. Before purchase get van weighed. every after market thing that is added is extra weight. Lastly, before signing on the dotted line, pay someone in the repair caravan industry to check the van over.
