Sydney to Adelaide which way

Leaving Sydney today and going through Mildura to Adelaide but has anyone done the road that looks like it goes  across from Gundagai through Junee to Narrandera instead of going to Wagga . Is it a good road . Any suggestions of caravan parks on this road also appreciated.

I haven't done that route, having a closer look it is a dozen or so different roads not a straight thru road, a bit longer in time and slightly shorter distance. Having said that it could be a good drive something different country roads are unpredictable at times. If you have time to spare have a go, you never know what you may find.

Good road all the way through Gundagai and Junee. I have been that way twice and the only problem I had was at a left hand turn half way between Gundagai and Junee.

The first time I went past it and had to do a 'U' turn and come back - not easy with the van on the back.

The second time I started to turn onto the road before the right one before I noticed it was wrong.

Notwithstanding, the right road is well sign posted! Seems like I had a bit of a lapse in concentration both times.

Once past Junee the road is excellent, wide and almost straight all the way to Narrandera.
