Does anyone know about this park, and is it still open and is there a sealed road to get to it. It is rumoured that its been loved to death, and the locals want it back, and been closed ...

The road in is a bit rough. Just take it easy. Its not too far. I was there a couple of weeks ago. It was very very busy. Only for self contained RV's. No facilities.
Don't know about loved. Witnessed some not so good behaviour. (Bad) One rV'er dutifully attached his portable grey water container to his van and then emptied it into the dam as he was leaving. ????
Gate is often left open. Cattle get out onto a very busy highway.
When I arrived there was a heavy duty clip on the gate. Someone stole it. Leaving it to be replaced again by the property owner.
This is a beautiful place being ruined by the thoughtless. No wonder they want to close it.
Its free at the moment, but I heard they were going to introduce a fairly hefty fee to stay there.
Clem Walton is different from corella dam (Clem Walton DOES have toilets). I wouldn't take my rig down to clem Walton (25ft van). Only because if you get there and it's full up there's limited turning....and if there's rain.....hmmmmmm. So Corella.....easy peasy. In the busy times there's 'permanents' that think they own the joint....you just have to flick them off. Easy road....bit corrugated....only a few klm. Clem Walton is a lot more distance (another 3 or so), down same road, but a few hills etc with no bitumen. As far as I know...the dam is on station property.....hence our need to totally appreciate what we are offered and leave no trace.
Cheers Rob

Havn't been there for a couple of years but as Grubbygypsy said. fairly challenging track in and be prepared to do it in reverse if you meet someone coming the other way as nowhere to pull off the road.
