Have a question about the only sunliner dealership in Melbourne .. on Canterbury rd . Bayswater . Has anyone bought a vehicle from them and how did they find after sales service there ?
Planning on buying a sunliner this year and would appreciate any info from people who have bought from them .
google - ( Sunliner Motorhomes DO NOT BUY 7min ) this guy has a beef with them , years back my cousin bought a Sunliner and it had a whole heap of issues , main one was it was mounted on back of a preggio , sunliner in the end changed it over and mounted it on a ford traytop from memory, and made him sign a confidentiality contract from their solicitors. not long after he got rid of it and bought a winnie.
We bought a new sunliner in 2008 and have never had any trouble no even a screw has come loose they are well built but we are in Qld so dont know any dealers in Melbourne
That particular area of Victoria produces some of the worst Lemons Check them out with Colin Young at Caravan Council to get an unbiased review. see www.caravancouncil.com.au/

Sunliner have been building motorhomes and campervans since the 1960's. You don't stay in business that long unless you are building good products and looking after your customers.
To the best of my knowledge the Melbourne dealership is owned by Sunliner.
Heres another bit of info ................ CHEAPER TO BUY SAME VEHICLE SAME BUILD FROM SYDNEY !!! $7000 difference !!!! HOW DOES THAT WORK ... bloody factory is in Melbourne ????????
Dealers ...... WHO CAN YOU TRUST ..... 5 DEALERS SAME VEHICLE SAME BUILD ALL DIFFERENT !!!!
The dealer in Sydney is obviously discounting the price for you, maybe you should buy it from him.
I doubt you"ll get a discount from the manufacturer.
Dealership next to factory ... shouldn't costs be much cheaper ... dealer delivery costs shouldn't exist !! and should be no mark up on price ...
SYDNEY DEALERSHIP GETS FROM MELBOURNE ... AS NONE CURRENTLY IN STOCK ... VEHICLE CAN BE SHIPPED UP FROM MELBOURNE AND STILL BE CHEAPER !! DONT GET IT ?

Firstly Sunlner do not sell factory direct, only through their dealer network.
The Sydney dealer will have his reasons for discounting his price but surely that's irrelevant, if you are serious about buying one $7000 is a good saving.
Yes you are right montie .. I don't mind flying up to Sydney for that saving ! .. probably this particular dealer has a big turn over of vehicles so can afford the discount in price !
The average car dealer markup fee is typically between 2-5%. This number represents the amount of money the dealer automatically raises the price to ensure a profit. Note that this is not the final sale price, which is often higher. For example: a car comes in at dealer invoice (what the dealer pays for it) of $20,000. The dealer marks it up 2-5% (this is their listed invoice price) and then assigns an MSRP price on it that is even higher. Should you negotiate the dealer down to invoice, they still make a 2-5% profit on the vehicle.
