Hi all, I have re waterproofed my Camper trailer and used a product I purchased from BCF It is called COI Leisure AQUA Proof. The advise was to roll on and it would go on white and dry clear. well this has not been the case. I now have white bits everywhere. I think there may be too much on. Does anyone know how I can get the excess off. or has anyone had a similar problem and come up with a solution. Please let me know Thanks heaps. Cheers Bob
A friend used this product on his canvas camper trailer with the same effect. We came to the conclusion the white bits were where a previous waterproofing agent stopped the penetration of the new coating.
We ended up using a bucket of warm water with some dishwashing liquid in a normal concentration and sponging the white spots. Reapplied the new proofer by sponge. Might be worth trying the same on an out of sight area and see if it works with your canvas.
Hi I was curios about this product so I googled it .
I found a PDF product instructions.
It seems to specifically mention your problem ...
ie
If after application, a white film appears on treated article, wash
surface with warm soapy water (using a mild detergent) or warm
water mixed with a small amount of white vinegar to remove.
