Mary Pool NT

Stayed last night. Close to 100 vans. Very social talking about travelling experiences. Plenty of small campfires. No noise at night except corellas. Just a magic clean spot. New toilets and big industrial size bins at park entry for rubbish

We have often stayed overnight at Mary Pool, great spot. Isn't it in W. A. Though?

Yes it is a nice spot, between Fitzroy Crossing, and Halls Creek, in the wild west

I have been there, but did not realise, that you could fit 100 caravans at that free camp

On the other hand as I have a motorhome, I do not venture off the hard stand

Very nice free camp area. We stopped over a couple of weeks ago at about midday and it was already filling up with over nighters.
A much more pleasant alternative to Fitzroy crossing or Halls Creek. There are a few really nice free camps on that route!

Mary Pool is sealed right to the gate. No longer go over the causeway. We are planning to stay at The Lake, Ellendale tomorrow. Currently at Fitzroy Crossing - park a few kms east. The Kimberleys is very different to Western Vic for many, many things.

Hi LLD, I'm currently at Ellendale, leaving on Sunday for Fitzroy Crossing, then to Mary Pool. I'm just past the northwest corner of the lake, around to the left - Hino bus towing a blue Daihatsu Terios (with a GN sticker on the back window). Stop by for a chat if you're close by.

Cheers
Joe

Saw your rig today as we were pulling in. I am towing a Jurgens with 3 emus and a Sponsored by Centrelink on the back. What a fabulous spot. Crocs, a pet cow, and lots of birds. I think I was talking to you this afternoon looking at the croc on the sandbank.
