Channel 7 News Ad Re. Towing Vans,Campers Boats etc. ?

Did anyone else see the ad for channel 7's news next week regarding changes to effect people towing vans, boats and campers etc.?

Sounds rather ominous if you read between the lines, or if you don't what's it all about?

Sorry Vaughan, there was no article attached but going by early morning radio news today it appears the NSW State Government is looking at lowering the cost of Registration for some of these types of vehicle so it's possible that's what channel 7 is referring to.

I believe at present NSW 'van registrations are significantly higher than most other states.

One can only hope!

Keith.

NSW is lowering the cost of registration of vans by 40%. Heard it on ABC news today.

Cheers,

There is a thread on the subject, it has a link to a news item as this one should have. I suggestr no more comments on this thread but go to the other one instead:

My concern now is that the greedy Victorian government will suddenly notice how cheap their registration is and suddenly think this is another way to rip off holidayers, especially GNs, and increase theirs to parity with other states.

I'm thinking, Mondays channel 7 story may be about overweight caravans.

Mmmm l've heard about GVM upgrades being stopped real soon. Sound like the tightening of overloading laws are upon us. This may be what Keith saw?

Just found some more info. What I heard is the GCM is no longer allowed to be increased. The GVM upgrade may be still ok. There are a few articles floating around.
